This class departs from traditional obedience format to focus exclusively on rear-end awareness. Most dogs don’t even realize that they have back legs! This class will work on skills to develop strength, coordination, and balance in the rear end. It’s a fantastic way to bond with your dog for the pet owner, and critical for anyone looking to compete in any performance events. This class will teach the skills necessary for heeling, focus, turns, and fronts for the obedience or rally dog and strength and coordination for climbing and jumping for the agility dog. We will work on front foot targeting, rear foot targeting, elevated pivots, pivots in front and heel, ladder work, plank walking, pickup sticks exercise, sideways fronts, backwards circles, and more! Open to dogs/puppies that have had at least one obedience class.
Rear-end Awareness runs for 8 weeks. Please check your schedule as there will be no make up classes available. Cost $110.00.
Next Rear-end Awareness class begins Thurs., Apr. 28, 2016, 8:00pm Closed
